The Fictitious Tile Collection aims to rejuvenate the memory of ancient handcrafted tiles and hydraulic cement by experimenting with an innovative printing technique geared towards a mass-produced product. This tradition, revisited in a contemporary key, is serially produced in 25x25 cm format.

The composition captures the characteristics of the patchwork technique: an innovative, deliberately random mix and match that combines abstract designs and unsaturated, neutral colors that adhere to the support material in a naturally irregular way.

In this way, the patterns of the Fictitious Tile Collection combine deliberately different languages: memory, geometries, pixels, developed both longitudinally and diagonally. A unique and surprising result that offers compositional freedom and design uniqueness, while maintaining the characteristics of 'handmade' with the performance of a high-tech material suitable for both flooring and wall coverings.

A Spanish architect and designer, adopted by Italy, has been part of the Creative Team since 2010. She has designed numerous collections, including: the Imaginary series, Abstract, Fictitious, Earth, Imaginary XL, Mosaic and The Wolf.

“With the Fictitious Tile Collection, we wanted to give new value to the memory of hydraulic cement. A process developed exponentially, where we only wanted to sketch the first combinations of a long series. And now, it’s up to you!”
